From 18 November 2025, new rules will come into force under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.

👉 All company directors and PSCs (people with significant control) must verify their identity with Companies House before the next confirmation statement can be filed. Without this verification, your company will not be able to submit filings, which may lead to penalties or compliance issues.

👉 If you are a director of multiple companies, you’ll need to link your identity to each company separately.

You can verify your identity either:

✔️ Online through the official GOV.UK One Login system

✔️ Or through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), such as accountants and solicitors supervised under UK AML regulations
